I)Conclusion
The results of this experiment show that my hypothesis was correct. I thought that my home would use less electrical energy than my Grandparent's house on average. My data clearly showed this after calculation of averages and amounts of energy used in the appliances. You can see that my house's five appliances used only about a half of the Watts of what my Grandparent's appliances used. My family uses 29.5 cents less per hour if all the five appliances were on, then my Grandparents spend. My five appliances wattage use per hour was about 60% less than my Grandparent's house. One explanation for the energy use would be that my family has newer appliances than my Grandparents. Also my family had LED lights and a 20 pint less dehumidifier unlike my Grandparents who have large old Christmas bulbs. Overall the newer appliances use less energy.
